Hello

I'm a coach who wants to help as many people as I can. I try my best to make my coaching as affordable as possible because I know it can be hard to prioritize your health when finances are tight and life gets busy.

My Story

I started my health and fitness journey about 16 years ago. I had just started my little family, and it was my first time away from my mom and sisters. I had just moved to follow my husband to support him in his military career.

I have always been very active. I love learning new things and try my best to understand them. I have played almost every sport imaginable. I grew up dancing and teaching hip hop and jazz.

After I got pregnant with my first child, I slowly became less active and had to work hard to get my pre-pregnancy body back. I tried to run with my son in his stroller and do whatever exercises I could think of, including yoga. However, after I reached my pre-pregnancy weight goal, I got pregnant with my second son. The day I found out I was pregnant for the second time, my Husband deployed to Iraq. It was a rough pregnancy for my body and my mental health.

When my second baby arrived, and I exercised the same way as before to get my body back to where I wanted it. It took me about 6 months, but I did it. Shortly after we moved to a different country, I fell in love with their cuisine. I gained extra weight and became very unhappy with my body leading to bulimia. A few months later, I found out that my grandpa was very sick and admitted to the hospital. When he passed, depression reached its peak and I turned to all the delicious foods to "bring me some happiness". I gained even more weight, which caused me to hate my body even more, creating a vicious cycle.

One day a friend invited me to join a group of military spouses that worked out together. These women took turns caring for each other's children so everyone can work out together. The group was coached by a very kindhearted woman who created this community of women that supported each other and rooted for each other. We used whatever equipment was available, including working out at the playground while our children played with their new friends.

This small group of women changed my life forever. I found support, friendship, joy in moving my body again, and my strength. I also learned that fueling my body for these high intensity workouts were important. I stopped feeling guilty every time I ate and slowly overcame my bulimia. I was part of this group for about a year before it was time for us to move back to the States. I also found out I was pregnant with my third son.

During my third pregnancy, I continued to work out every day. As I got further along in my pregnancy, I realized that I needed to start learning more about Crossfit to make sure my baby and I stayed safe during my workouts. I started my journey of studying, reaching out to my previous coaches and others I knew to learn more and more about proper form, different ways to adapt my workouts to my changing body. I also started to invest in my own gym equipment, knowing that when I have my baby, it would become hard for me to make it to the gym.

After having my third baby, I fell back into depression because my baby would not nap long enough for me to "get a good work out."

A few months later, it was time to move again, but this time, it was to Hawaii! I told myself that there was no reason for me to be depressed in such a beautiful place. It took me about a year after having my baby before I was able to focus on my self-care again. I continued investing in more gym equipment and was able to work out again. That's when I realized that it was time to take control of my mind and my eating habits. I started to learn more about food and how each type of food can affect the body, alongside with my studies of weightlifting and all things Crossfit.

Fast forward to now, I studied hard and earned the following certificates: Crossfit L1, Crossfit Gymnastics Course, Burgener Strength Weightlifting L1, Crossfit L2, Crossfit Spot the Flaw Course, Crossfit Scaling Course Crossfit Lesson Planning Course, ACE Strength & Conditioning Certification, and currently working on my Yoga RYT200. I learned to enjoy eating anything I want (of course in moderation) and working out. I have also helped many individuals with workout and nutrition plans, some of which to include: The Hinesville Fire Department, 2024 Team Army for the Warrior Games, multiple Liberty School District personnel, Soldiers who are part of the Fort Stewart Soldier Recovery Unit and City of Hinesville Employees. I have helped people go from being unable to walk, to being completely mobile again. The variety of people and their conditions that I have worked with has given me the knowledge needed to work with anyone.

I have realized that there is a need for fitness help and knowledge that will allow people to adapt a healthy lifestyle. I saw that being active was so important for my grandpa, and how my health has become so much better after learning to keep a healthy lifestyle while still enjoying occasional treats. I have seen plenty of people who were not properly taught how to move safely during workouts and got injured. It is ESSENTIAL to have these skills. Sustainability and longevity mean moving safely throughout your day while staying fit and healthy, enjoying every step of the way.
